Sustainable development
Since 2002, Société d'Aménagement de la station de la Plagne (SAP), which manages the La Plagne skiing area, has been engaged in a certification process. ISO 9001 certified in 2004, SAP then turned its attention towards environmental (ISO 14001) and safety certification (OHSAS 18001) in 2007. Since 27 May 2008, SAP has been officially QSE certified (Quality Safety Environment) based on these three repositories.
SAP is constantly looking for improvements in everything to do with the control and sorting of waste, optimization of the consumption of resources (water, electricity, fuel...), the prevention of pollution (impact studies, re-greening, landscape integration…), better prevention with regard to safety at work, hosting, customer information, raising the awareness of client skiers and walkers…

Numerous actions are carried out every day in order to preserve our environment, grouped under five themes.
PrEservation OF THE SITE
Because the mountain will be here a lot longer than we will, preserving it is also our business : integration of new projects into the landscape (ski lifts, ski runs...), limiting the expansion of the skiing area, reforestation, re-greening, protection of birds, wet zones and local fauna and flora.

Snow is our raw material, preserving it is therefore essential : water quotas to optimize the production of snow, improvements in our methods of working, the introduction of wind breaks.
