To get between the ski areas of la Plagne and les Arcs, you take the world’s biggest and most prestigious cable car : the Vanoise Express.
A real marvel of technology, the Vanoise Express is an ultramodern cable car with two double-decker cabins with 200 places each. The cable car has a capacity of 2,000 people per hour in each direction and the trip takes just 4 minutes.
The crossing is made at a height of 380 metres and takes you from the station at Peisey (altitude 1612 m), to the station at Montchavin les Coches (1548 m).
Over a distance of 1824 metres, the cabins look out over the picturesque Ponturin Valley, and provide a unique view of Mont Blanc, the Beaufortain range and the unmissable Bellecôte North Face, Paradiski’s legendary off-piste run.
