The 7th occasion of the Etoiles du sports (Sport star)

For 6 years this event has been supported by the Youth and Sports Ministry and brings together at la Plagne 20 French champions from 20 different sports and 20 hopefuls chosen and sponsored by the champions themselves.

The telemark European Cup
10 January 2008
For about fifteen years, Montchavin-Les Coches has been considered the capital of Classic Telemark competition thanks to the height difference across its ski area. The village hosts an international competition every two years or so.
Plagn Arctic
From 17 to 24 January 2009
For one week, there are free activities based on polar themes going on in ALL la Grande Plagne’s resorts. Snow sculpture, a glacier conference, an introduction to bobsleigh, giant snowball fights, snowshoe outings, igloo building and maple syrup lollies to taste…

The skate park at Plagne Bellecôte is back in use before the summer. This event is a snapshot of the summer Urban Plagne which takes place at the end of August.

Urban culture raises its profile during Urban Plagne, an event combining sport, art, fun and music, whose 4th running takes place at Plagne Bellecôte from 11 to 14 July 2008 ! The great novelty this year is the setting up of a new street area worthy of the name!

A 55 km marked course with check points, 6000m of height difference (3000 positive and 3000 negative). Altitude at the start and finish in the valley: 694m. Highest point of the race, the Bellecôte glacier at 3050m.
