The Week End unveilled

Saturday 26 July 2007:
- The 2 Lakes Trail

A 22 km event starting at Plagne Bellecôte and climbing to the Dou du Praz via the footpath leading towards the fruitière to rejoin the 6000D course (without going via the glacier) which climbs to the Lac des Blanchets, Roche de Mio, Col de la Chiaupe, le Dérochoir, Lac du Carroley, l'Arpette and finishes at Plagne Bellecote (1100m climb and 1100m descent).


Entry fee: 25 euros (Tee shirt, certificate, prize, Friday Pasta Party)

Event limited to 5 hours, no prize money

A water and nourishment stop at the Col de la Chiaupe and a water stop at the Arpette.
Start at 9.30 a.m.

- Randoplagne

The tour of the Plagnes is an 11 km course linking the various high altitude resorts of La Plagne. Starting at Plagne Bellecôte, the course goes to the Dou du Praz, and then heads towards Plagne Centre before descending towards the Lac Vert by the old mining track. It climbs towards Aime 2000, passes through Plagne Centre to climb back towards the top of Plagne Villages, and takes the route des Balcons towards Belle Plagne. It then descends towards the finish at Plagne Bellecôte.
1 supply stop / water / check point at Plagne Centre - no classification (alphabetical list produced with times temps) the race is open to anyone born before 1996 (minors must have a parental disclaimer)

- 15 euros (

flask, without the pasta party)
Event limited to 5 hours

Start at 10.45 a.m.


Sunday 28 July 2007:
- The 6000D

A 55 km marked course with check points, 6000m of height difference (3000 positive and 3000 negative). Altitude at the start and finish in the valley: 694m. Highest point of the race, the Bellecôte glacier at 3050m. It’s the definitive mountain trail race in terms of extreme height difference.

  • 40 euros to 31 May 2008
  • 45 euros to 18 July 2008
  • 50 euros to 23 July 2008
