For about fifteen years, Montchavin-Les Coches has been considered the capital of Classic Telemark competition thanks to the height difference across its ski area. The village hosts an international competition every two years or so.

To provide the telemarkers with a full range of events, Montchavin-Les Coches and Plagne Centre join forces for the 3 days of competition. "Sprint" and night time events will take place on the slalom course at Plagne Centre on 10 December and the "Classic" type events will be run on 11 and 12 on the Montchavin-Les Coches ski area.

More than 10 countries took part in the last World Cup. For this week, this is the altar before which the world will come and bend a knee, a gesture whose elegance sits well with the village’s traditional image and atmosphere.
